BREAKING NEWS: President Trump Impeached for Historic Second Time

President Donald Trump has been impeached by the United States House of Representatives for an historic second time.

The President was impeached by a bipartisan delegation of congress members, including all Democrats and 10 Republicans.

The article of impeachment charges President Trump with incitement of insurrection during last week’s deadly siege on Capitol Hill where five people died, including a Capitol police officer.

In a statement during House debates on impeachment, President Trump said “In light of reports of more demonstrations, I urge that there must be no violence, no lawbreaking and no vandalism of any kind.” He adds that is not what he stands for. Trump then calls on “all Americans to help ease tensions and calm tempers.”

It is unlikely Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, a Republican will reconvene the Senate for the Impeachment trial prior to the expiration of President Trump’s term as President on January 20. This means the Senate trial to convict or acquit President Trump will likely take place during the early days of the Biden administration.
