Caroline County Man Charged on Dozens of Child Porn, Sex Charges


Centreville, Md. (DELMARVA NEWS NOW) – Maryland State Police have indicted and arrested a Caroline County man on more than 100 child pornography and related child sex charges.

Troopers say 38-year-old James Sleasman of Ridgely has been charged with 43 counts of distribution of child pornography, 53 counts of possession of child pornography, 15 counts of sexual solicitor of a minor, four counts of solicitation of child pornography and one count each of distribution of obscene matter and possession with intent to distribute obscene matter.

The charges followed a months long investigation led by the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division. Their investigation found evidence that Sleasman distributed numerous images and videos of child porn to others. They also uncovered that he had sexually-related conversations with minors under the age of 18.

Sleasman is being held at the Caroline County Detention Center on 50,000 dollars secured bond.
