Ocean City Postpones Sunfest Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

The Town of Ocean City has announced the postponement of the annual Sunfest due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event was scheduled to take place from October 1 to October 4 in the Inlet Parking Lot at the end of the boardwalk.

The postponement was approved by the Mayor and Town Council, with discussions now shifting to planning for the 2021 event.

Mayor Rick Meehan said “Ocean City has actively promoted the many ways visitors can enjoy the town while maintaining physical distancing this summer, but for an event like Sunfest, we recognized it would not be possible to host the event in way that was in the best interest of public health.”

The Mayor says the town still plans to welcome visitors in a way that “can balance fun with their safety and health.”
