PRMC Bans Neck Gaiters and Bandanas

Peninsula Regional Health System has announced neck gaiters and bandanas are no longer approved face coverings for patients, visitors or staff at their medical facilities include Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury and Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford.

Officials say the coverings have been found to be less effective in containment of droplets from person to person in comparison to cloth and medical face masks.

Peninsula Regional Health System officials are also updating their visitation policy announcing one one designated visitor per patient is permitted. Designated visitors must wear a face mask at all times and those unable to wear a face mask should not be the designated visitor.
