Salisbury to Host COVID-19 Modified Christmas Parade

The City of Salisbury’s annual Christmas Parade will be taking place in modified fashion in the year 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The parade route will visit neighborhoods throughout Salisbury rather than being stationary. For this reason, the floats will be slightly altered and it will be a much fast paced parade.

“We’re looking forward to seeing everybody. We did a similar style parade for Easter and it was a hit. So we’re really excited.” said Julia Glanz, Salisbury’s City Administrator and Acting Mayor.

The parade route will begin near Salisbury University and travel clockwise around the city visiting prominent neighborhoods along Riverside Drive, Isabella Street, Business Route 50 and Main Street.

The 2020 Salisbury Christmas Parade takes place on Sunday beginning at 2:30 p.m.
