Stevensville, Md. (DELMARVA NEWS NOW) — The Maryland Transit Authority has released the findings of a months-long study examining potential locations for a new Chesapeake Bay bridge crossing.

The study, which looked at 7 possible crossings ranging from Kent County all the way to Somerset County determined that a third crossing at the existing location would provide the most effective traffic relief.

The findings of the study will now be presented for public comments at a series of town hall events scheduled for Wednesday, September 25 from 6-8pm at Queen Anne’s County High School and Thursday, October 3 from 6-8pm at the Talbot County Community Center.
